Job description

The Background Investigator will conduct public trust pre-employment background investigations for various Law Enforcement Agencies, focusing on providing a quality case report on time to the IDS customer. IDS is looking for Independent Contractor Investigators with at least one year of investigative experience.This may be either as an intermittent employee or as an independent contractor.The Independent Contractor must have a current and valid TX Private Investigator's License. Independent Contractor Background Investigators (1099) will be compensated on a completed item basis, not an hourly rate.The Intermittent Employee (w2) may apply for a TX Private Investigator's License under IDS. The workload will vary, and work will be paid hourly.
