Job description

The upcoming film production 'The Challenger,' associated with Kirsten Stewart, is casting background actors to portray engineers in scenes set in Houston during the late 1970s and 1980s. Filming takes place in Atlanta, Georgia.

You'll help recreate the historical atmosphere surrounding NASA and the engineering community of the era, participating in background scenes as directed by the production team. You must follow instructions from the director, assistant directors, and other production staff, and maintain a period-appropriate appearance and behavior throughout filming.

This is a local-hire-only production. You must be based in Atlanta, Georgia to apply.

Filming dates are October 14 and/or October 19–23. You must be available for a scheduled 12-hour filming day.

Natural, period-appropriate hairstyles are strongly preferred. You must be willing to meet production-specific facial hair and shaving requirements. You should have the ability to portray an engineer in a late 1970s or 1980s professional setting.

Professionalism and reliability throughout production are required. Comfort performing background roles and following on-set direction is expected.

Rate: $182 for 12 hours of work.
