Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Web Developer to join our fintech startup. The role requires extensive coding expertise and a passion for cutting‑edge technology, especially blockchain, for securities and trading.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Javascript, CSS, HTML; experience with jQuery.
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as Angular, Ember, and React.js.
• 1.5+ years experience with Python and Flask (or 2.5+ years experience with a similar web framework and some experience with Python).
• Extensive experience with SQL, APIs (REST, JSON‑RPC, etc.), Git/GitHub (or similar RCS).
• 1+ years experience with Linux (Ubuntu and Bash).
• Live in the United States and be open to relocating to NYC metro area within 6‑9 months.

Highly Recommended

• Previous UI/UX design experience.
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development, unit testing and functional testing.
• Scrum/XP/Agile methodology experience.

Nice to Have

• Previous Bitcoin or blockchain development experience and knowledge of public‑key cryptography.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Celery, PostgreSQL, Redis, HAProxy, Nginx, Jquery, Selenium, Travis, Docker, fig, Ansible, Wiki/ReStructuredText, AWS, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra, etc.), Pingdom.
• Previous FinTech experience – working with financial systems UI/UX.
