Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a System / Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs primarily in Python and Go. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply solid data-structuring and concurrency concepts.

Onsite role with office-based work in California. Required experience includes production software in Python/Go, API design, and CI/CD practices, plus familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, and container

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 3+ years experience.
• Experience developing production software in Python and/or Go.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and modular design.
• Experience building backend APIs and asynchronous services with proper error handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily in Python and Go.
• Apply algorithms, data structures, and techniques for efficient, maintainable code.
• Own features and fixes through design to deployment and ops.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and device engineering teams.
• Use AI development tools for coding, testing, and exploration while ensuring correctness and security.
