ExeQut is seeking a Backend Java Developer to join our Maryland-based team in a hybrid capacity. You will design and develop robust backend systems serving U.S. enterprise clients, collaborating with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps in an agile environment.

This role offers ownership of meaningful, production-grade work. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of backend Java experience, strong Spring Boot skills, and a track record building RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional backend Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices and architecture patterns.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available at this time).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions with best practices in mind.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Optionally support product ownership tasks such as requirement elicitation and solution scoping.
