Job summary

Firecrawl seeks a Backend Infrastructure Engineer to own the core data-collection backbone. You’ll build and maintain infrastructure powering reliable data gathering at scale, facing adversarial defenses, while optimizing the proxy layer for cost and throughput. You’ll ship concrete improvements end-to-end, not tickets in a backlog.

You’ll work with a fast-moving team focused on reliability, performance, and end-to-end ownership in production, with a hybrid SF onsite setup and competitive equity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in backend, networking, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with proxies or high-throughput systems is a plus.
• Strong emphasis on reliability and production ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the infrastructure that powers reliable data collection at scale.
• Improve success rates against sites with aggressive defenses.
• Own the health, rotation, and cost efficiency of the proxy layer.
• Push throughput and reliability under heavy, spiky, real-world load.
• Debug hard, intermittent failures across the stack and fix them.
