Job summary
Wealth.com is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale backend systems powering our estate planning, tax planning, and AI-driven products. You will work on a TypeScript-first stack and own the systems you build—from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped technical solutions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software engineering shipping backend systems to production.
- Proficient in TypeScript with ability to ramp to TS from other typed languages.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Strong API design experience (REST/gRPC) and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Proven ability to design, implement, test, and operate scalable services at scale.
- Experience with fintech or regulated environments is a plus.
- Collaborative and able to own features end-to-end from design to monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale backend services powering our products.
- Own features from spec through deployment and post-launch monitoring.
- Write production-grade TypeScript with strong tests and observability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers on technical solutions.
- Contribute to system design decisions around scalability, reliability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations.
