Job summary

66degrees is seeking a versatile Backend Engineer to modernize client backend microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In a client-facing consulting role, you will help transform core services using Node.js/TypeScript and Go.

Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices on GCP; collaborate with client stakeholders; revamp backend systems for performance and reliability; integrate modern middleware and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering with TypeScript/Node.js (primary).
• 2+ years of production Go experience (secondary).
• Experience building/deploying backend microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices on GCP.
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical strategies.
• Revamp existing backend systems to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
