Job summary

Method Security is hiring a Backend Engineer to build and scale core systems powering autonomous cybersecurity products. You will design distributed systems, implement APIs, and optimize databases, working with a high-performing team to ensure security, efficiency, and reliability.

You will closely collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and end users to translate requirements into robust technical solutions and address real-world security challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling distributed systems with high performance and low latency.
• Proficiency in triaging and debugging complex microservice architectures.
• Strong experience designing backend APIs and crafting efficient database schemas.
• Experience with strongly typed programming languages; Java is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable distributed systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and latency.
• Independently diagnose, triage, and resolve issues in a microservices environment, enhancing system stability.
• Design clean, secure APIs and effective database schemas to support product features and data handling needs.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other team members to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Work directly with end users to ensure that Method is meeting operational needs and solving real world problems.
