Job summary

SCI Solutions Global in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Cloud Native Backend Engineer with strong Java or Python development, AWS expertise, and a focus on APIs and microservices. The engineer will support enterprise data platform capabilities with an emphasis on multi-region resiliency and data lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing cloud-native applications, designing databases, automating deployments, and building resilient services in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on AWS experience with ECS, Lambda, IAM, SQS, SNS, Glue, S3, RDS, and Route 53.
• Strong SQL, database modeling, and database design skills.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Working knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Basic understanding of workflow orchestration.
• Understanding of cloud-native application development, resiliency, and distributed systems.
