Job summary

Metis Technology Solutions Inc. is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Moffett Field, CA. You will work on the Extensible Traffic Management (XTM) Client and help reimagine air traffic management for the 21st century, deploying production-ready code daily.

You will collaborate across domains to design, implement, and test microservice-based solutions, leveraging Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka, while ensuring robust security with OAuth 2.0 and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid understanding of microservice and event driven architectures.
• Experience with Spring, Maven, Gradle, and other related technologies.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka.
• Experience with authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0.
• Passion for writing high-quality, reliable code, unit and integration tests, and clear and concise documentation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
• Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
