Obvio is hiring a backend software engineer to join the team that powers our annotation workflows. You will build distributed systems that drive the ML feedback loop and operational pipelines, translating ambiguous requirements into robust software.

You will collaborate across product, ML, and operations to ensure high performance, security, and observability, delivering maintainable code and scalable backend services.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of backend engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production distributed systems.
• Knowledge of security principles, observability, and secure data handling.

Responsabilités

• Design and build distributed systems for high-throughput data review and annotation pipelines.
• Develop APIs and backend abstractions with clean interfaces.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and security under real-world load.
• Collaborate with product, ML, and operations to improve efficiency and feedback loops.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested code and perform thoughtful reviews.
