Town is building the AI coworker for every team. The role focuses on heavy backend work across LLM orchestration, workflow execution, and the knowledge layer to make AI interactions smarter and more reliable. You’ll own it end-to-end, shaping architecture in a greenfield environment with non-deterministic, cost-sensitive workloads.

We’re seeking a foundational backend engineer who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth settings and is excited to work in-person five days a week in SF or NYC.

Responsabilités

• Build the orchestration layer for agentic workflows
• Build multi-provider LLM infrastructure
• Rethink email, calendar, and contacts as AI-native experiences
• Design the identity and knowledge layer
• Architect agent networks
• Build the trust and autonomy system
• Define what service ownership means for the product
