Job summary

Camunda is seeking an Engineering Operations-focused engineer to automate and optimize the CI/CD lifecycle across Camunda 8 repositories. You will implement AI-assisted release management, dependency updates, and scalable core processes to improve development efficiency and reliability.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to drive engineering process improvements, reduce bottlenecks, and build self-sustaining automation for AI-augmented workflows in a global, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience, preferably in Java.
• Specialization in fullstack or backend with a focus on engineering operations.
• Hands-on experience with CI build tools (GitHub Actions, Maven, Docker) and automations (Shell, Python) in complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift toward an automated engineering lifecycle by implementing unified processes in Camunda 8 repos, including AI-assisted release management and dependency updates.
• Optimize CI and release health, using metrics to identify and remove bottlenecks in AI-first workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement CI strategy and engineering best practices across the organization.
• Identify friction points in engineering workflows and build automated, self-sustaining systems to handle higher AI-augmented volumes.
