Cambio AI Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer to build Django services, optimize performance, and reduce tech debt while collaborating with a cross-functional team in a hybrid, US/Canada-based setting.

You will ship customer-facing features, improve reliability, and help teammates grow by pairing with engineers across frontend and data science to deliver impactful, fast-moving solutions in a rapid startup environment.

What you bring

Experienced in Python web development (Django & Ninja is a bonus)

Solid grasp of computer science and algorithm fundamentals

Exceptional research & debugging skills

Understanding of technical trade-offs and the YAGNI principle

Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS

Logistics

Work authorization: authorized to work in the US or Canada, and able to travel to both

This is an in-person role based in Kitchener-Waterloo, New York, or San Francisco
