Job summary

ToolsGroup is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to design, build, and operate backend services and REST APIs. You will own integrations, deployment pipelines, and production reliability while contributing to some front-end work as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in Java or C#, plus solid knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot or ASP.NET Core, CI/CD, Linux, and SQL. You will work in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or C# with OOP fundamentals.
• Backend framework experience: Spring/Spring Boot or ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Linux environments.
• Proficient in Bash for automation and data tasks.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrations.
• SQL proficiency and familiarity with Maven/Gradle/NuGet tooling.
• Git for collaboration in a team codebase.
• Hands-on production operations, monitoring, and incident handling.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs.
• Build reliable integrations with relational databases and message queues.
• Work in CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy services across environments.
• Debug production issues and contribute to observability and incident response.
• Automate recurring operational tasks with scripting and tooling.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in peer reviews.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and engineering best practices.
• Support front-end work when needed to ensure usable interfaces.
