Bytamic GmbH is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong TypeScript and Node.js skills and practical German communication abilities to join a long-term enterprise project. You will work on backend services, develop features, improve performance, and ensure reliability within a Kubernetes-based environment.

The role involves collaborating with an international team and regularly communicating with German-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

Formación

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript
• Solid experience with Node.js and backend application development
• Experience with NestJS or a similar Node.js framework
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend development principles
• Practical German language skills at B1 level or higher
• Confidence in discussing in German in everyday technical discussions
• Ability to read German-language documentation and tickets
• Experience working with Git and collaborative workflows
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Good English communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Work with NestJS or similar backend frameworks to implement business logic and new functionalities.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
• Analyze and refactor existing code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Investigate and resolve bugs, technical issues, and application performance problems.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and promote clean code and good engineering practices.
• Work with PostgreSQL and SQL to support application functionality and data processing.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and software architects.
• Communicate with German-speaking colleagues and stakeholders to clarify requirements and discuss technical solutions.
• Contribute to modernization and stabilization of a large-scale enterprise application.

About [ The Role]

For our Client, we are looking for a qualified partner for a Senior Backend Developer with strong TypeScript and Node.js skills and practical German communication abilities to join a long-term enterprise project. The project focuses on the development, modernization, and stabilization of a large-scale enterprise platform serving over one million users. You will work on existing backend services, develop new features, improve application performance, and help ensure the platform's reliability and maintainability.

The technology stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and React, with the application running in a Kubernetes environment. You will collaborate with an international engineering team and communicate regularly with German-speaking colleagues and stakeholders. You will use German skills in technical discussions, and when working with project documentation.

Your Tasks

Your qualifications:

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript
• Solid experience with Node.js and backend application development
• Experience with NestJS or a similar Node.js framework. NestJS is strongly preferred
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend development principles
• Practical German language skills at B1 level or higher, including speaking, reading, and writing
• Confidence in participating in everyday technical discussions and meetings in German
• Ability to understand German-language documentation, tickets, and project requirements
• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Good English communication skills
