Role Overview:

The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable server-side applications and enterprise services. This position focuses on API development, database integration, application performance, and building secure backend systems that support business-critical applications.

Technical Skills & Development Expertise:

Strong programming experience in Java, Python, C#, or Node.js.

Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, .NET Core, or Express.js.

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API integration.

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.

Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and application performance optimization.

Key Development Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.

Build and integrate REST APIs and microservices.

Implement business logic, data processing, and database operations.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Develop secure application components and implement access-control mechanisms.

Integrate backend services with front-end applications and third-party systems.

Troubleshoot application defects and resolve production issues.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical design discussions.

Experience & Technical Competencies:

5+ years of experience in backend development or software engineering.

Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise-level backend applications.

Experience building APIs, database-driven applications, and distributed systems.

Knowledge of Agile development and software development lifecycle practices.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Master's degree is preferred.

Relevant backend development or cloud certifications are an advantage.
