Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Back End Go Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering enterprise applications. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, developers, and DevOps across a fast-paced agile team.

The role focuses on developing distributed systems, microservices, and secure, high-performance backend solutions using Go, RESTful and gRPC interfaces, and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications using Go (Golang).
• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming concepts, and distributed systems.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience building microservices and event-driven applications.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar platforms.
• Experience implementing automated testing, including unit, integration, and API testing.
• Experience with Git-based source control workflows and modern branching strategies.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and deployment automation.
