Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Back-End Engineer to design, build, and operate data infrastructure powering an AI-driven knowledge platform. You will architect APIs, build data pipelines, manage multi-modal DB systems, and ensure reliability of services used by product teams.

Strong focus on knowledge graphs, RDF/SPARQL, and semantic tech across ingestion, storage, and retrieval at enterprise scale. You will work in a hybrid role, traveling to client sites as needed (20-80%).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with Knowledge Graph data hydration and ontology-based data mapping (RDF, SPARQL).
• 3+ years with R2RML or equivalent mapping frameworks.
• 3+ years with graph databases and SQL proficiency.
• 3+ years experience with relational databases and vector databases.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation and service development.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Hydrate data into Knowledge Graphs by mapping data to ontology models.
• Develop data mapping workflows using R2RML or similar.
• Write and optimize SPARQL queries for graph loading and retrieval.
• Build data ingestion pipelines and integrate enterprise data.
• Design and optimize relational schemas to support graph hydration and ETL.
• Deploy and maintain vector database infrastructure for embedding storage and semantic retrieval.
• Design scalable graph query APIs for internal teams.
• Performance-tune graph queries and data access patterns.
• Own containerization, deployment, and monitoring of graph services in cloud environments.
• Ensure data quality, ontology alignment, and secure handling of PII/PHI.
• Collaborate with ontologists and application teams on Knowledge Graph implementations.
