Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Back‑End Engineer to design, build, and operate data infrastructure powering an AI‑driven knowledge platform. You will architect APIs, build data pipelines, manage multi‑modal databases, and own reliability of services used by product teams.

Role requires expertise in knowledge graphs, RDF/SPARQL, graph databases, and vector stores, with strong Python/Java and REST API skills. This is a hybrid Cleveland‑area position with travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Knowledge Graph data hydration and ontology-based mapping.
• Experience with RDF, SPARQL, and semantic technologies.
• 3+ years with graph databases and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, plus SQL proficiency.
• 3+ years with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• 3+ years deploying vector databases in production.
• 3+ years Python or Java for automation and REST API development.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Hydrate data into Knowledge Graphs by mapping source data to ontology models.
• Develop data mapping workflows using R2RML or similar frameworks.
• Write and optimize SPARQL queries for graph loading and retrieval.
• Build data ingestion pipelines and integrate data from enterprise systems.
• Design relational schemas and queries to support graph hydration and ETL.
• Deploy and maintain vector database infrastructure for embedding storage and retrieval.
• Design scalable graph query APIs for internal teams.
• Performance-tune graph queries and data access patterns.
• Own containerization, deployment, and monitoring of graph services in cloud.
• Ensure data quality, ontology alignment, and secure handling of sensitive data.
