Job summary

Vaco LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Back-End Developer specializing in Cloud and IoT to design and build scalable cloud platforms that power connected cameras, IoT devices, and real-time video applications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, high‑performance services on AWS, Kubernetes and RESTful APIs, following modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development with scalable distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including deployment, management, and scaling of cloud applications.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and integration for mobile applications and connected devices.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, DynamoDB, Git, and other DevOps tools.
• Experience designing secure, high‑performance cloud services with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with IoT ecosystems, smart home or consumer electronics products, and real‑time media streaming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services supporting IoT devices, smart home products, and real‑time video applications.
• Collaborate with product teams, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Implement RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between mobile applications, devices, and cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize AWS cloud services and Kubernetes for deployment, scaling, and management of cloud‑based applications.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and high performance of cloud services through best practices and automated testing.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the platform capabilities.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on continuous learning and innovation.
