Back End Data Architect and Engineer, Senior The Opportunity:

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We are seeking an expert-level back-end architect to strengthen and scale our mission data-processing systems. This role is central to advancing high‑volume dataflow reliability, back-end performance tuning, and distributed system resilience for critical mission platforms. In addition to core back-end responsibilities, this engineer will work on software stacks that directly support digital network intelligence workflows, enabling analysts and mission operators to execute and accelerate critical cyber missions. You Have:

• Experience with Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming, Elasticsearch for indexing, search, and cluster performance optimization, and PostgreSQL for schema design, tuning, and large-scale query optimization
• Experience designing or scaling systems that process large amounts of structured and unstructured data
• Experience with distributed systems fundamentals such as concurrency, data modeling, observability, durability, and failover patterns
• Experience enabling or supporting cyber mission workflows, signals or dataflow systems, or digital network intelligence processes
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• 8+ years of experience with engineering production
• Experience working with mission systems, cyber operations tooling, or intelligence support platforms
• Experience with other components of our stack such as Go services, microservices architecture, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
• TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).
