Job Description

• CDM Smith is seeking an Intern to join our Corporate Marketing team.
• Located in our Boston, MA office, this position will work with marketing, technical and sales staff to help drive the growth of one of the largest engineering firms in the U.S.
• The successful candidate will support content marketing efforts through our website, video, email, social media and live events; help craft collateral for new business development; and roll up their sleeves with marketing operations activities to support sales efforts and marketing campaigns.

• During this internship you will have a responsible role in the marketing and business development activities for one of the largest such firms in the world.
• As part of a dynamic marketing team that pursues project contracts with cities, towns and state agencies throughout the region, the coop student will help research, write and edit effective qualifications statements and proposals, develop graphically oriented, compelling presentations, and assist closely with other business development and marketing initiatives, such as internal and external communication campaigns, public outreach, and strategic planning.

• You’ll help provide cross-functional generalist support for our key functions—sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
• You will be working closely with the unit president, sales and delivery directors, finance director, marketing manager, and other key staff, gaining exposure and experience in the running of a business unit within a large corporation.
• Skills and Abilities/Key qualifications: Self‑starter interested in contributing to various assignments across business disciplines.
• Teamwork‑first approach, willing to learn and take on challenging tasks.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Fully versed in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Solid business writing and communication ability

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
