Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Central Bergen is seeking a responsible babysitter to care for children in the Bergenfield, NJ area. The role involves supervising children, preparing meals, and ensuring a safe environment when parents are away.

The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, and able to lead children through fun activities while maintaining daily routines. Certification in first aid/CPR is valued, and transportation is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as a babysitter or nanny.
• Reliable transportation.
• Certification in first aid and child and infant CPR.
• Experience with special needs children.
• High school diploma or GED; associate's degree in child development is a plus.
• State certification in early childhood education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to children inside and outside the home.
• Maintains daily feeding and care routines.
• Prepares healthy snacks and meals.
• Perform light housework, including laundry.
• Leads children in fun activities and crafts.
• Keeps living and play areas tidy.
• Helps with homework and tutoring as needed.
• Cares for infants, including feeding, diapering, and dressing.
• Follows parents' instructions and tracks school or after-school schedules.
• Encourages healthy habits and hygiene; supports toilet training.
• Keeps parents informed of any illness or accidents.
