The TJX Companies, Inc. in Memphis is seeking a part-time Loss Prevention/Security Associate to monitor access, protect assets, and enforce safety policies at our Fulfillment Center.

This on-site role involves coordinating responses to emergencies and conducting regular safety and security checks across the facility. Starting pay is competitive with benefits including employee discounts and a range of programs; candidates will participate in loss prevention and shrinkage awareness initiatives

Job Description

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Protects the Company's assets to include the associates, Merchandise, and Property.
• Monitors all ID Badges for entry/exit to the facility and warehouse for all associates.
• Monitors all visitors, vendors, and contractors entry/exit to the facility and warehouse.
• Monitors/controls all sample merchandise, RTV (Return to Vendor), damage and charity product that is disposed of in accordance with company guidelines. Monitors all fire and safety regulations within in the facility.
• Monitors Fire and Burglary alarms to ensure proper responses and/or dispatching.
• Ensures trailers are properly handled at the trailer gatehouse and trailer yard.
• Responds to emergency situations, such as medical, fire, weather, hazardous material and security related incidents and takes appropriate actions.
• Assists in evacuations as necessary.
• Ensures 0% physical security breakdowns.
• Conducts on-going loss prevention, safety, and shrinkage awareness programs for all associates and management staff.
• Ensures policies and procedures are consistently followed. Reports unsafe conditions and acts to appropriate personnel.
• Discovers and documents facts by conducting basic investigations into associate dishonesty.
• Conducts audits that are designed to uncover associate dishonesty, paper errors and shrink related opportunities.
• Conducts safety and security tours of the warehouse.

Work Schedule

Wednesday 10:00am until 4:30pm

Thursday 4:30am until 4:30pm

Friday 4:30am until 4:30pm

Saturday 4:30am until 4:30pm

Starting Pay: $17.75 per hour
