Job summary

Midas International, LLC is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician to join a busy general repair shop in San Francisco. You should be comfortable working independently on typical maintenance and repair tasks.

This hourly role rewards solid performance and offers growth opportunities without requiring Master Technician status. The position pays $32-38+ per hour depending on experience, with an uncapped performance bonus and a pathway to higher levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of solid automotive repair experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently on common maintenance and repair tasks.
• Willingness to pursue ASE certifications and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Brakes, suspension and steering repairs and maintenance.
• Cooling system service and repairs.
• Belts, hoses, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Tune-ups and ignition system work.
• Battery, starter, and alternator service.
• Basic electrical diagnosis and repairs.
• Check-engine-light diagnosis and service.
• A/C service and repair.
• Fluid services (oil, coolant, etc.).
• Vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Replacing common components with minimal supervision.

We're looking for an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician who can step into a busy general repair shop and contribute immediately.

This is not an entry-level position. You should already be comfortable working independently on most common maintenance and repair work. You don't need to be a Master Tech—we're looking for someone who's solid, productive, takes pride in their work, and wants to keep developing their skills.

What You Should Be Comfortable Doing

• Brakes, suspension and steering
• Cooling systems
• Belts, hoses and maintenance
• Tune-ups and ignition work
• Batteries, starters and alternators
• Basic electrical diagnosis
• Check-engine-light diagnosis and repair
• A/C service and repair
• Fluid services
• Vehicle inspections
• Removing and replacing common components without constant supervision

More advanced diagnostic and engine repair experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

$32-38+/hour depending on experience and ability

Plus an uncapped performance bonus opportunity on top of your hourly pay.

This is an hourly position—you aren't depending on flat-rate hours to make your paycheck.
