What We Do

The Azure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure to meet organizational goals. This role emphasizes creating scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with extensive experience in Azure services, solution design, and enterprise IT environments.

What You'll Do
  1. Design and implement Azure-based architectures for enterprise applications, data, and infrastructure.
  2. Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions to meet current and future business needs.
  3. Provide architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams.
  4. Lead the adoption of Azure best practices, tools, and methodologies across the organization.
  5. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define cloud strategies and roadmaps.
  6. Evaluate and recommend Azure services and third-party tools to optimize solutions.
  7. Establish governance frameworks, including Azure Policies, RBAC, and tagging strategies.
  8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  9. Design architectures focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
  10. Monitor and improve system performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  11. Lead cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and risk management.
  12. Modernize legacy applications for Azure compatibility using cloud-native technologies.
  13. Incorporate DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools like Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps.
  14. Develop automated workflows for resource provisioning and management.
  15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security.
  16. Mentor junior architects and administrators on Azure technologies and solution design.
  17. Manage Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, and identity management.
  18. Monitor and optimize Azure resource performance and costs.
  19. Implement security best practices, including Azure Security Center, Policies, and RBAC.
  20. Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards like GDPR, HIPAA, SOC.
  21. Develop automation scripts and templates (PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, Terraform) to streamline operations.
  22. Automate routine tasks such as resource provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.
  23. Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  24. Troubleshoot and resolve Azure service and application issues.
  25. Design and implement backup strategies with Azure Backup and Recovery Services.
  26. Develop disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  27. Configure Azure Virtual Networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and load balancers.
  28. Ensure secure connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.
  29. Work with developers, DevOps, and stakeholders to provide Azure expertise and support.
  30. Mentor and train junior administrators on Azure best practices.
  31. Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 in Azure administration.
  • Experience with Azure services, infrastructure-as-code tools, and cloud security.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (required).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or other advanced certifications (preferred).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Strong networking knowledge (DNS, routing, firewalls).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and migrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving cloud technologies.
  • Team-oriented with proactive knowledge sharing.

Salary Range: $131,800 - 219,675 Annually

This range is an estimate and may vary based on education, training, experience, and location.
