What We Do

The Azure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure to meet organizational goals. This role involves creating scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with extensive experience in Azure services, solution design, and enterprise IT environments.

What You'll Do

1. Design and implement Azure-based architectures for applications, data, and infrastructure.
2. Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions for current and future needs.
3. Provide architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams.
4. Lead the adoption of Azure best practices, tools, and methodologies.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies and roadmaps.
6. Evaluate and recommend Azure services and third-party tools.
7. Establish governance frameworks, including Azure Policies, RBAC, and tagging strategies.
8. Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
9. Design architectures focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
10. Monitor and optimize system performance using Azure tools.
11. Lead cloud migration projects, including planning and risk management.
12. Modernize legacy applications for Azure compatibility using cloud-native technologies.
13. Incorporate DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and IaC with tools like Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps.
14. Develop automated workflows for resource provisioning and management.
15. Work with cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
16. Manage Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, and identity management.
17. Optimize Azure resources for performance and cost.
18. Implement security best practices with Azure Security Center, Policies, and RBAC.
19. Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, Terraform.
20. Automate routine tasks like provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.
21. Manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for system health.
22. Troubleshoot Azure service issues.
23. Design backup strategies with Azure Backup and Recovery Services.
24. Develop disaster recovery plans.
25. Configure Azure Virtual Networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers.
26. Ensure secure connectivity between on-premises and Azure.
27. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and stakeholders to support Azure needs.
28. Mentor and train junior administrators.
29. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years IT experience, with at least 3 years in Azure administration.
• Experience with Azure services, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (required).
• Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, ARM templates.
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, routing, firewalls).
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and migrations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies.
• Team-oriented with proactive knowledge sharing.

Salary Range: $131,800 - 219,675 Annually

This range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, and location.
