Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Azure Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure networks. You will work with infrastructure, security, and application teams to support enterprise cloud operations in a fully remote contract role.

The ideal candidate has AZ700 certification, 10+ years of hands-on Azure networking in production, and strong skills in VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity. Competitive benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certified in Azure Networking (AZ700).
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Azure networking services in production.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, subnetting, and firewalls, SD-WAN, Cisco networking.
• Proven experience with Azure VNets, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and Load Balancer.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure networking components (VNets, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateways).
• Architect hybrid connectivity between on-prem and Azure (Site-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN).
• Configure Azure Route Tables, Peering, Private Link/Private Endpoints, and DNS.
• Implement and maintain network security controls (NSGs, WAF, DDoS).
• Monitor performance with Azure Network Watcher/Monitor; troubleshoot latency issues.
• Automate provisioning with ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform; use PowerShell/Azure CLI.
• Support multi-region/multi-subscription architectures; document designs and SOPs.
• Participate in on-call rotation and stay updated on Azure networking advances.
