Job summary

Philips is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations & Security Engineer to secure and maintain Azure Government environments essential to government-grade operations. You will manage identity, networking, and security tooling while driving incident response and automation improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on Azure administration, Defender usage, and collaboration with security, audit, and operations teams in a heavy-regulated environment. Office-based in Nashville, with on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud operations, systems administration, or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years hands-on Microsoft Azure administration in production environments.
• Microsoft Entra ID, IAM, cloud networking, firewall administration, security operations, PowerShell automation, and root cause analysis are key skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Azure Admin/Security certifications are valued.
• Desirable experience includes Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, cloud-managed Windows endpoints, vulnerability management, and regulated environments (NIST, FedRAMP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Azure Government and Microsoft 365 Government Cloud High services to ensure reliable, secure operations.
• Manage and secure identity and access via Microsoft Entra ID, including MFA, Conditional Access, and PIM.
• Support cloud networking and application delivery: Azure Firewall, DNS, Front Door, Web Application Firewall.
• Investigate security events using Defender tools; perform remediation and assist in incident response.
• Troubleshoot production issues, automate tasks with PowerShell and Azure Playbooks, and drive reliability improvements.
