Job summary

FordDirect is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead in the United States to design and implement CI/CD, security scanning, and IaC for on-premise and cloud environments. You will automate cloud resources, including container orchestration, to optimize workflows and deployment efficiency.

The ideal candidate has extensive Azure experience, strong automation skills, and a track record mentoring technical teams. This role emphasizes security, collaboration, and scalable DevOps practices.

Qualifications

7+ years hands-on Azure infrastructure with Terraform and Bicep.
10+ years DevOps for application teams using Agile/SAFe.
5+ years leading DevOps CI tools.
3+ years experience with code scanning tools.
3+ years configuration management tools.
3+ years containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Experience working on Agile teams.
Version control management (Git/Bitbucket).

Responsibilities

Partner with development to design and configure automated build, release, and infrastructure provisioning pipelines.
Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines, including code scanning, static analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
Lead the transition to container-based deployments and orchestration strategies.
Develop and maintain IaC templates for secure deployment of resources.
Participate in Agile ceremonies to align DevOps with development goals.
Produce metrics and dashboards for quality, security, accessibility, and progress.
Advocate for software engineering practices to improve end-to-end secure delivery.
Coordinate with global teams on technical development.
