Job summary

Alight Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities for healthcare applications. You will work hands-on with Azure, AWS, Terraform, YAML pipelines, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.

You will drive security alignment (SOC 2, HIPAA), automate deployments, monitor systems, and collaborate with security, compliance, and audit teams across distributed services. Occasional weekend releases and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with hands-on Azure and AWS
• Proficiency with YAML-based pipelines and CI/CD tooling
• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for governance and pipelines
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms and observability tools

Responsibilities

The Role

a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities supporting healthcare applications and services. hands-on expertise across Azure, AWS infrastructure automation with Terraform, YAML-based pipelines, and DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and governing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI enforcement.
• Driving compliance alignment across DevOps processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and using CheckMarx, SonarQube internal security standards, focusing on access control, auditability, and PHI safeguards.
• Automating deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services, familiar with containerized workloads is a plus.
• Collaborating with security, compliance, and audit teams to support continuous monitoring, evidence gathering, and security assessments.
• Delivering infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows as required; participate in an on-call rotation.
• Enforcing and contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design reviews.
• Troubleshooting and remediate complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
• Including weekend work for planned releases and on-call rotations
• Monitoring, support, and troubleshootETL and data integration workflows across production, QA, and development environments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Analyzingand resolve incidents, job failures, and performance issuesrelated to Informatica workflows, mappings, and SQL jobs.
• Owning and maintainETL components including Informatica mappings, metadata, scripts, schedules, and operational procedures. Identify opportunities to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of existing jobs/processes.
• Ensuring stability of data ingestion pipelinesspanning batch, nearrealtime, and realtime patterns. Finetune ETL solutions by developing a deep technical understanding of data flows and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Collaborating withDBAs and Data Architectsto implement appropriate data partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies to enhance job performance.
• Developing or modify SQL scripts, stored procedures, database triggers, and queries as part of incident resolution, change requests, or performance tuning.Work closely with cross functional and offshore teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues, clear communication, and adherence to support SLAs and operational guidelines.
• Managingmultiple concurrent support tickets, change requests, and enhancement tasks, balancing priorities based on business impact and urgency.
• Ensuring compliance withpublished support, development, coding, and testing standards, as well as change management practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in both Azure and AWS.
• Demonstrate expertise with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, environments).
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipelines governance.
• Proficiency abilities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Demonstrate expertise with Azure Cosmo DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux).
• Maintain experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insight, New Relic, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch
• Have certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400
