Job summary

C5MI is seeking an Azure DevOps Administrator & SDLC Process Analyst to lead ADO configuration, governance, and SDLC compliance across delivery teams. You will coach teams, align setups with CMMI requirements, and support the PMO/IMS with traceability and test planning.

This role requires hands-on ADO administration, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 10%. Must have 3+ years of ADO admin experience, experience with WIQL and Azure Test Plans, and a proven ability to translate

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Azure DevOps administration, including process customization, work-item editing, custom fields and rules, picklists, and area/iteration path management.
• Experience with WIQL, dashboards, and reporting; familiarity with the ADO REST API for bulk operations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Test Plans — test plan / test suite structure, test case authoring, test execution, and integration with the work-item traceability model.
• Understanding SDLC frameworks (Agile, CMMI, or similar) and translating process requirements into work-item structure and rules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain tooling and process expectations to mixed audiences.
• Ability to coach peers on process and tooling.
• Self-directed; able to prioritize across multiple projects.
• Must be able to travel up to 10% and obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• ADO administration and configuration: manage projects, area paths, iteration paths, Teams, security groups, permissions, integrations, and licenses.
• Maintain inherited process templates and Golden Templates; ensure rules enforce required-field discipline.
• Stands up new project environments with correct tier, values, and configurations.
• Build and maintain shared queries, charts, and dashboards for PMO, IMS, and Delivery.
• Administer Azure Test Plans: test plan structures, test suites, configurations, and test-case organization.
• Advise delivery and PMO on ADO shape for new teams—boards, area paths, cadence, team boundaries, and dashboards.
• Translate SDLC framework requirements into configuration choices; document trade-offs.
• Coach stakeholders on correct ADO usage and onboarding for new assignees.
