Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking an experienced data-platform engineer to support and troubleshoot enterprise data flows. You will own and optimize ETL pipelines, implement scalable data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable analytics infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on Azure data engineering with Python, Databricks, and strong T-SQL skills, plus experience in data warehousing and data quality. Bachelor's degree in a related field is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application support, technical leadership, or data-platform troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Azure data engineering and Python experience.
• Working knowledge of Databricks and PySpark, including notebooks, data transformations, and read/write operations.
• Advanced T-SQL and data warehouse skills, including stored procedures, functions, execution plans, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting ETL pipelines, large datasets, data-quality issues, and performance or scalability bottlenecks.
• Understanding of RDBMS concepts, reporting flows, data movement, and production support practices.
• Strong incident ownership, root-cause analysis, stakeholder communication, and technical coaching skills.
• Preferred experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Delta/Parquet, AKS, SSIS/MSBI, Power BI, Alteryx, ERP extraction concepts, and audit or accounting-related data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
