Job summary

Fractal Analytics is seeking a Solution Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and modern Data & AI platforms to design scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise data solutions.

You will work with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and clients to define architecture strategies, establish best practices, and drive successful cloud-based data platform delivery. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on modeling, governance, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, cloud architecture, or solution architecture.
• 5+ years hands-on with Azure cloud services.
• 4+ years hands-on with Databricks and Spark-based solutions.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and handling large datasets.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end data and analytics solutions on Azure and Databricks.
• Design scalable data platforms for batch, streaming, and real-time analytics.
• Lead solution design discussions, architecture reviews, and governance.
• Define data lake/warehouse/lakehouse and data mesh architectures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish security, governance, and compliance standards across the platform.
• Design data integration frameworks using Azure-native services and Databricks.
• Drive performance optimization, cost management, and cloud modernization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Support proposal development, effort estimation, and client presentations.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
