Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines on a Microsoft Azure platform, enabling reliable analytics across the organization. The role focuses on governance, lineage, and cloud-native architecture while partnering with IT, Finance, Operations, and Digital stakeholders.

The position is hybrid with on-site days in Alexandria, VA, and requires expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Azure data services to deliver curated datasets for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Finance/Operations/Digital reporting experience preferred.
• Experience in multi-unit retail or restaurant environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data.
• Ingest data from relational databases, REST APIs, flat files, and third-party platforms.
• Build and manage Azure Data Factory pipelines to orchestrate data workflows.
• Develop Azure Functions and Logic Apps for event-driven ingestion and integrations.
• Administer Databricks workspaces, including cluster management and governance.
