Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to support a large-scale Mainframe to Azure Cloud migration program. You will design and build scalable data solutions using Azure data services, migrating legacy assets while ensuring data quality, security, and performance.

The role focuses on cloud-native architectures, data integration, and modernization initiatives, with collaboration across architects, stakeholders, and migration teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on Azure cloud experience.
• Experience with large-scale data migration or modernization projects.
• Strong knowledge of Azure data services and data integration.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Azure-based data solutions for enterprise modernization.
• Migrate legacy data assets from Mainframe environments to Azure-based PaaS services.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance during migration.
• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and application teams.
• Document designs, migration approaches, and deployment procedures.
