Job summary

Sharp Decisions is seeking experienced Software Data Engineers to support a data platform initiative across Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ, and India. The role focuses on designing and delivering a strategic data platform for Capital Markets and Securities with strong Azure expertise.

You will work with the Data Strategy team, align with internal technology and data teams, and implement reference data systems for securities and pricing data on Azure, following established development standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with Azure Cloud expertise.
• Experience implementing Azure services: Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
• Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar in Python.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins and DevOps lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience in the financial services data domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the Data Strategy team spanning Capital Markets and securities.
• Develop a reference data system for securities and pricing data.
• Collaborate with internal tech and data teams to implement the platform.
• Contribute to Azure-based solutions and standards across the data platform.
