Job summary

You will own ingestion, transformation, and data product delivery across Azure services, including ADF, Blob Storage, and Azure SQL. Collaboration with analytics and product teams is essential, with a focus on security and governance.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 5 years of experience (or 4 years in lieu of degree) in data engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines and data flows.
• Strong experience with Azure Blob Storage, including access tiers and lifecycle.
• Experience with Azure SQL and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of star/snowflake schemas and Data Vault concepts.
• Fluent in SQL; Python or Scala for data transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, schedule, and monitor Azure Data Factory pipelines for ELT/ETL.
• Manage data storage in Azure Blob Storage with tiering and lifecycle policies.
• Design and optimize Azure SQL schemas, indexing, and performance.
• Create dimensional models (star/snowflake) and apply Data Vault patterns.
• Implement data quality, governance, validation, and lineage.
• Optimize pipelines, queries, and storage I/O with alerts and retry logic.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and operations to deliver datasets.
• Enforce security and RBAC, encryption, and key management.
• Contribute templates and reusable components for the data platform.
