Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on data engineering, with 2+ years on Azure.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines and error handling.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Azure SQL.
• Python or PySpark for data transformation.
• Data modeling and warehouse design concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 organization.
• Git and Azure DevOps for version control and deployments.
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud data solutions on the Microsoft Azure stack for client engagements.
• Build and orchestrate data pipelines in Azure Data Factory for analytics-ready data.
• Develop transformation logic in Python or PySpark and optimize for growth.
• Design and maintain dimensional, relational, or lakehouse data models.
• Work with Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake Gen2 for storage/compute patterns.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and reconciliation.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and error handling into pipelines and production support.
• Manage code and deployments through Git and Azure DevOps (CI/CD).
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business questions into data requirements.
• Document architecture, data lineage, and runbooks; ensure security/compliance.
