Key Responsibilities

Design and Build Data Solutions

• Architect and implement modern data platforms using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Data Lake Storage, and Cosmos DB.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Design data models and schemas to support business intelligence and advanced analytics.

Data Governance and Compliance

• Implement data security, privacy, and compliance measures.
• Establish governance frameworks for data quality and lifecycle management.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams to align architecture with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and enforce best practices for data engineering teams.

Performance and Optimization

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Optimize architecture for cost efficiency, scalability, and high availability.

Innovation and Enablement

• Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies and industry trends.
• Conduct workshops and enablement sessions to drive adoption of Azure data solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Azure services: Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience with data modeling, ETL design, and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, PySpark, and BI tools.

Architecture and Strategy

• 7+ years in data architecture roles; 3+ years with Azure data solutions.
• Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture, Delta/Parquet formats, and data governance tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Generative AI, and RAG‑based architectures.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate are highly desirable.
