Job summary

PDS Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, migrate, and operate Azure-based data platforms and AI/ML services. You will lead data engineering projects, optimize platforms for performance and cost, and collaborate with IT Security to ensure compliance.

You will mentor platform engineers across teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while driving the data and AI strategy forward.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of IT experience including 5+ years with SSIS, SQL Server, and Azure data/AI technologies.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing, SDLC (Agile) and project planning.

Responsibilities

Lead data engineering and operation projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and best practices.
Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and deliver effective data platform solutions.
Demonstrate expertise in Azure technologies (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, VM, SQL Server, Event Hub, OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry).
Mentor and guide other platform engineers to develop internal skills and knowledge.
Ensure designs consider business processes and production support, and work with IT Security on compliance.
