Job summary

Leidos in Adelphi, MD, is seeking an Azure Cloud Security Engineer to design, secure, automate, and sustain Azure Government cloud services supporting CSSP operations. You will strengthen cloud security, improve reliability, and help onboard DoD subscribers.

You will work with cloud engineers and cybersecurity professionals to implement secure solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and document architecture and runbooks for operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with 8+ years experience or Masters with 6+ years experience; DoD experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience engineering, administering, or supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with RMF, ATO processes, and DISA STIGs/SRGs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, secure, and maintain Azure Government cloud infrastructure supporting CSSP operations.
• Integrate and troubleshoot cloud logging, monitoring, and security services across Azure and other clouds.
• Develop infrastructure automation using Python, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting tools.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) and O&M activities including patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with subscribers and cross-functional teams to implement secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Hands-on experience engineering, administering, or supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments.Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting experience.Knowledge of cloud networking, routing, DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, firewalls, security groups, and private connectivity.Experience with production cloud operations, patching, incident resolution, change management, and technical documentation.Strong communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with technical teams and customers.Ability to meet applicable DoD 8140 qualification requirements at the start of employment and obtain required CSSP and Computing Environment certifications within 90 days, as applicable.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Azure Government, DoD Impact Levels (IL4/IL5/IL6), or other government cloud environments.Experience with cloud security tools, including Elastic Stack, Tenable, endpoint security solutions, and cloud-native logging and monitoring.Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation experience using Terraform, Ansible, Azure Bicep, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF), ATO processes, DISA STIGs/SRGs, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container security, and CI/CD pipelines.Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control tools.Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar enterprise tools.Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-500, or AZ-305.Linux certifications such as RHCSA or CompTIA Linux .Work Location / TeleworkAdelphi, Maryland (Hybrid)Preferred location: Adelphi, MD, with onsite presence at least three days per week.Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates based on technical expertise, experience, and program requirements.Security ClearanceActive Secret security clearance required to start.Must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI access based on program requirements.If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
