Job summary

Deloitte Global is expanding its cloud capabilities and seeks an Azure-focused engineer to design, deploy, and secure Azure services worldwide. The role covers IaC, monitoring, identity management, and automation across Windows and Linux environments.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, manage RBAC, and conduct vulnerability assessments while collaborating with cross-functional teams on scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including architecture, configuration, and management.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as VMs, App Services, Storage, AKS, databases, and networks.
• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as ARM, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Active Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-400) preferred.
• Full stack development experience an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Azure services with security, scalability, and availability considerations.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Configure and optimize Azure VMs, App Services, AKS, and storage.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for performance, security, reliability, and cost.
• Manage identity with Entra ID and RBAC.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Automate tasks and develop CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Provide cloud support and troubleshoot performance issues on Windows and Linux VMs.
• Integrate cloud platforms with other systems and ensure data consistency.
• Assist in assessments and audits of Azure deployments for compliance.
• Ensure SLAs are met and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Stay updated on new Azure services and tools.

Work you'll do

• Design and deploy Azure services, ensuring compliance with best practices for security, scalability, and availability.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Configure Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, etc.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to provide visibility into application, infrastructure performance, security, reliability and cost.
• Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and audits to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Automate routine tasks and workflows using Azure Automation and develop Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Provide technical support for cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and availability issues. This includes Windows and Linux VM support.
• Hands-on experience in integrating cloud platforms with other cloud-based systems, ensuring data consistency and availability.
• Participate in assessments and audits of existing Azure deployments to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Ensure operational activities are completed within the required SLAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support tailored Azure solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including technical guides and operational procedures.
• Stay updated on emerging Azure services and technologies, integrating them where applicable.
• Use DevOps practices, including Github for version control, to manage cloud.
• Working knowledge of Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, Microsoft Foundry) and how they integrate with core Azure infrastructure (VNets, Private Endpoints, Key Vault, etc.)

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, including architecture, configuration, and management.
• Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure Policy, AKS, Azure Databases, Azure Network etc
• Strong experience with PowerShell Scripting.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Relevant active Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ – 104), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ – 400), are preferred.
• Full stack development experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
