Job summary

Fisher Investments is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to maintain and grow our Azure cloud environment. You will deploy infrastructure as code, automate deployments, and ensure security controls across production systems while collaborating with architects and partners globally.

You will also participate in on-call rotations, provide 24/7 international support, and help translate business needs into scalable cloud solutions using Terraform and Azure services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years deploying resources and managing infra in IT ops
• 5+ years Azure cloud infra deployments using IaC
• 4+ years building automated cloud infra acrossProd/Non-Prod
• 3+ years CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
• 1+ year Kubernetes-based platform ops and Azure AI services
• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services including SQL and Data Factory
• Knowledge of identity management, security controls and encryption
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, or related field

The Opportunity:

As a Cloud Engineer, you will consult and contribute to business process improvements of IT policies, procedures, tools, security controls and infrastructure. You will maintain the operational Azure cloud environment, perform infrastructure deployments and ensure the production environment is operating securely and efficiently using automation tools. You will work with Infrastructure Engineering to make sure all deployments follow standards, are compliant and secure. You will report to the Application Development Team Lead.

The Day-to-Day:

• Develop, implement and maintain scalable Cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure platform
• Collaborate with partners to understand their cloud requirements and design effective solutions
• Recommend Cloud & AI-based solutions, document and communicate with all partners
• Deploy enterprise scaled cloud resources that can be used across technology organizations using code
• Follow security audit requirements and controls in every action
• Use configuration management and automated deployment tools to provide cloud-based solutions and services ensuring best practices
• Work with solution architects, tech leads and partners to confirm developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls and meet cloud computing best practices
• Provide international and 24/7 support through on-call duties and working a flexible off-hours schedule for planned and unplanned maintenance

Your Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience deploying resources and managing infrastructure through both manual and automated pipelines in an IT infrastructure and operational environment
• 5+ years of experience
  • Maintain resources in cross platform environments
  • Azure cloud infrastructure deployments using IaC
  • Build, deploying and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services
  • Deploy resources using Terraform
• 4+ years of experience
  • GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Build automated cloud infrastructure across multiple Production and Non-Production environments
  • Scripting and automating builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspects
  • Azure CLI
• 3+ years of experience
  • CI/CD pipelines, YAML/YML for GitHub actions
  • Troubleshoot in an Azure Cloud environment
• 1+ year hands on experience
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms
  • AI platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI or similar cloud-based AI services preferred
• Experience with Azure IaaS (Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking) and PaaS (App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory)
• Knowledge of identity management, security controls, compliance and encryption
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field

Compensation:

• $80,200 - $150,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
• Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
