Job summary

GAMA-1 is seeking a Cloud Architect IV - Azure to lead the design, implementation, security, and ongoing operations of Azure environments in a remote work setup. The role emphasizes compliance with RMF and NIST, modern identity and security practices, and scalable cloud services to support business growth.

The successful candidate will drive hands-on deployment, governance, and automation across Azure, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, and AVD while ensuring cost-conscious, resilient, and secure cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; 10+ years in systems/ cloud architecture or related field.
• 5+ years supporting Azure commercial or government cloud environments.
• Proven track record leading large-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, security, automation, governance, and operation of Azure cloud environments.
• Configure and optimize VNets, Gateways, and ExpressRoute; manage AVD environments for secure access.
• Use Microsoft Intune for device configuration and security policy deployment.
• Develop backup, DR, and business continuity strategies with Azure services.
• Manage Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) with CA, MFA, and SSO; deploy Defender/Sentinel.
• Implement encryption with Key Vault, TLS, and Purview DLP policies.
• Develop Azure Policies for governance aligned with RMF/NIST 800-53/800-171.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform/Bicep/Ansible; enable CI/CD with secure scanning.
• Lead CloudOps: monitoring, incident management, continuous improvement.
