Job summary

Inherent Technologies in Houston, TX is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect for a 1-year onsite engagement. You will design and implement Azure architectures, establish landing zones, and collaborate with security, governance, and platform teams to ensure scalable, secure cloud solutions.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Azure services, governance patterns, and disaster recovery planning, with a focus on reusable reference architectures and IaC exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural design and implementation for Azure environments following best practices.
• Develop reusable Azure Greenfield reference architecture patterns.
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans and test with stakeholders.
• Design landing zone architectures and platform services; create new archetypes.
• Define cloud architecture standards and governance patterns.
• Evaluate Azure services for Greenfield adoption and governance.
• Perform architecture reviews for new workloads and migrations.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, Hub and Spoke with VWAN.
• Develop governance frameworks and guardrails.
• Collaborate with Security, Identity, Platform Engineering and Governance teams.
• Develop reusable architecture blueprints and deployment patterns.
• Basic knowledge of IaC using Terraform.
• Familiar with Azure CLI, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural design and implementation using Microsoft WAF and Best Practices Deliver platform support services for our Azure Greenfield environment
• Ability to development and document reusable Azure Greenfield reference architecture patterns for solutions
• Knowledgeable and experienced with GuardRight and ShiftLeft practices
• Ability to develop and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans facilitate testing of plans with stakeholders and document results
• Design and optimization of landing zone architectures and platform services including development of new archetypes
• Definition and application of cloud architecture standards patterns and best practices
• Evaluation and recommendation of Azure services for Greenfield adoption including participation in sanctioning and governance of these services
