Pyramid Consulting, Inc seeks an Azure Architect for a 06-12+ months contract in Ann Arbor, MI (onsite). Responsibilities include designing scalable, secure Azure solutions, networking, governance, and automation.

The role requires leading architectural efforts and aligning cloud strategy with business goals. The ideal candidate will excel in IaC, especially with Terraform/Bicep/ARM templates, and will drive cost optimization and platform modernization across teams.

Qualifications

• Must have Azure networking expertise and cloud architecture experience.
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
• Proven ability to lead design of scalable, secure Azure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure Azure cloud solutions for enterprise workloads.
• Architect Azure networking (Hub-Spoke, VNet Peering, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, VPN).
• Govern landing zones, RBAC, policies, and security controls.
• Drive modernization, automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Provide leadership, architecture reviews, and governance guidance.

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available Azure cloud solutions for enterprise workloads.
• Architect Azure networking solutions including Hub-Spoke, VNet Peering, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Route Tables, DNS, and Load Balancers.
• Design and govern Azure Landing Zones, subscription strategy, management groups, RBAC, Azure Policies, and security controls.
• Drive cloud modernization, migration, platform engineering, automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Architect and support Azure services including AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Entra ID (Azure AD), and API Management.
• Define Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align cloud architecture with organizational objectives.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, governance oversight, and best-practice recommendations
