Job summary

Swarm Aero is hiring an Information Security Lead / AWS Security Architect to own the security architecture, documentation, and compliance across our AWS environment and regulated deployments. This is a remote role with 1 week onsite in D.C.

each month, working closely with Legion to support IL5/IL6 readiness and maintain SSP/CMMC programs. You will translate security findings into remediation, establish repeatable baselines, and collaborate with DevSecOps and Engineering to align documentation,

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing security controls for AWS environments.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC programs and audit artifacts.
• Ability to translate findings into remediation actions and evidence.

Responsibilities

• Own Swarm’s IT security and compliance across AWS and Legion deployments.
• Maintain SSP, POA&M, and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, Engineering, and auditors to ensure evidence and controls meet requirements.
• Support IL5/IL6 deployment readiness and government customer engagements.
• Ensure continuous security improvements and incident response readiness.
